Ooohhh....so that’s what Lincoln was going for with the baleen grilles. It now makes sense, though I still think it looked bad. Some styling elements just don’t work on modern cars.

That engine, for being a V12, is a masterpiece of elegant simplicity. Saw this one at a local car show 1.5 years ago.

I don’t know, it’s certainly different from the vertical everybody else was doing but I can’t say I feel one way or the other. I tend to not have as strong an opinion about older cars styling anymore, I’m not sure why but I just usually accept it as it is. Unless it’s an Edsel. Maybe it does because it allows for other styling features like the rounded hood.
